What will be your role and responsibilities?

• Support to the preparatory accounting as well as to the accounting and preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.
• Manage proper execution of accounts payable (incl. travel expenses), accounts  receivable and handle invoicing and general ledger, as well as regular payments to suppliers.
• Support invoicing intercompany transactions that result from the company’s day-to-day business with other Körber companies.
• Prepare annual financial statements and support the auditing of statements and reports.
• Contributes to the professionalization, digitalization and automation of a fast-growing, multi-location company’s accounting processes, including the 
introduction of digital solutions and tools.
• Provide support for a variety of controlling, treasury, tax, and HR-finance topics.
• Member of Portuguese Accounting Association
• Contributes to the preparation and submission of main operational tax reports 
such as VAT, VIES, SAFT, COPE, IES, Modelo22, etc.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial reporting standards.
• Assist in the development of accounting policies and procedures.
• Execute tasks according to the deadlines and KPIs defined by the organization 
and Process Management.
• Ensure close and fluent communication with the companies receiving services 
in order to support with ad hoc tasks and solve issues promptly and effectively

Your profile

• You have up to one year of experience in accounting and are familiar with preparing financial reports such as monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• You are a registered Accountant with the Portuguese Accounting Association  (OCC) - Disqualifying factor
• You are a strong team worker and integrative communicator with quick comprehension and an analytical and structured working style
• You enjoy working independently and hands-on
• You combine a process-oriented approach with experience in designing accounting processes
• You enjoy a modern, paper-less, and digital working environment
• You possess knowledge of SAP, and MS-Excel skills, knowledge of HGB (German 
Commercial Code) as well as knowledge of Portuguese tax law would be an advantage
• You are fluent in English language (German would be a nice to have)
