About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, as well as customer facing experience and experience working with digital accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
•  Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial statements.
•  Ensure timely tax filings, including VAT, IRC, IRS, and Social Security contributions.
•  Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
•  Conduct client consultations on accounting matters
•  Stay updated on changes in accounting and tax laws in Portugal.

Requirements:
Must have:
•  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•  English language proficiency – C1 or higher
•  Portuguese language proficiency – C1 or higher
•  Strong knowledge of Portuguese accounting standards (SNC), IFRS, and local tax regulations.
•  Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Rose, Primavera, or similar).

Nice to have:
•  Experience in accounting companies of 1 year or more
•  Certified Accountant (CC) registered with the Portuguese Order of Certified Accountants (Ordem dos Contabilistas Certificados - OCC) 
•  Russian language – B2 of higher
